What is
Calcium Carbonate Granular?
Calcium
Carbonate Granular is a
specially processed form of calcium carbonate designed to provide better flow
and compression characteristics than conventional fine powder. Through
controlled granulation and suitable binder systems, calcium carbonate is
converted into free-flowing granules that support consistent die filling and
effective tablet formation.
Controlled
particle size distribution and density further contribute to smooth processing
and consistent tablet characteristics.
Applications
Calcium
Carbonate Granular is
widely used in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulations as a source of
elemental calcium. It is suitable for calcium supplements, chewable tablets,
mineral and multivitamin formulations, nutraceutical tablets and other
high-calcium formulations. It is also used as an active ingredient in antacid
formulations due to its acid-neutralizing properties.
